1. Service
NowSky is a free educational/reference web service visualizing sky positions, orbits, sizes and speeds.
2. Accuracy
All simulations (positions, orbits, eclipses, satellite passes) are approximations and may differ from reality. Do not rely on them where accuracy matters, such as navigation or observation planning.
3. Intellectual property & data sources
The service's code, design and composition belong to the operator. Satellite orbits use Celestrak public data; photos come from licensed Wikimedia Commons images with attribution.
4. Limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is”; to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from its use.
5. Acceptable use
You may freely view and share (link to) the service for personal and educational purposes. Automated traffic that disrupts normal operation and bulk copying/redistribution of content are not permitted.
5-1. Links, videos and posts
On any plan you may share links and use screenshots or screen recordings in videos, posts and streams — personal, educational or commercial. Two conditions apply.
- Credit — write
NowSky (nowsky.org)in the post or video description. - On-screen — a video or stream must either say “NowSky” during playback or keep the bottom-right watermark visible. Please do not crop or cover it.
5-2. Public showing (Pro Plus)
Showing the screen to a general audience in a venue — lecture halls, classrooms, events, exhibitions — requires the Pro Plus plan. Pro Plus covers group and institutional viewing, and the on-screen watermark (source and plan mark) must remain visible. Watching alone or showing your screen to a few people is free on any plan.
6. Advertising & paid plans
The service may be ad-supported, and paid plans (including ad removal) may be offered. Detailed payment terms will be provided when billing launches.
